Malta’s National ICT Strategy (2008-2010) was launched by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Communications in December 2007 under the heading ‘Malta: The Smart Island’. The strategy builds upon the achievements of the previous ICT Strategy 2004-2006.

ECDL is the global standard in end-user computer skills that provides an internationally-recognised certification that is supported by governments, computer societies, international organisations and commercial corporations globally. ECDL has sucessfully delivered programmes to over 9 million people, in 41 languages, throughout 148 countries around the world.
